                        Testimonials

Melissa, I just have to tell you what a great dog Pappy is. I used to be a dog breeder myself and I have never come across a more intelligent and willing to please dog than this. I can't believe how fast she learns. It only took me 1 month to house train her!  I am planning to show her and maybe get into agility with her. Pappy's markings and color are exqusite. I now know what you mean when you said their adult coloring and markings may change. She is so beautiful!  I get so many compliments on her and send everybody to you.  Not only is she very loyal to me, she loves the whole family too. She helped my son get over the loss of our other dog that passed away.  Thank you so, so much for Pappy and we could not imagine life without her.

 Sincerely,  Sutanna

Hi Melissa. Just a quick update,  Obi is awesome!  I will send you a picture soon so you can see him. My vet was really impressed at how you had his shots all scheduled out and how well behaved he is. He said he was a perfect puppy specimen. I cannot thank you enough for our new baby. He has started to lose a bit of hair already but is adorable. He has become such an important member of our family.  Also, I have referred a few people to you, one being my best friend who is like a sister to me. She may be emailing you. Syl and I will be looking into the litters due after January and possibly collecting a second baby.

Hi Melissa,

Here is a picture for you, lol.. he's in love with a Zebra.. The vet said he is a happy healthy puppy specimen and said that most pets he see's that come from breeders aren't as nearly healthy as Obadiah is.  He is a rambunctious 3 month old who loves to run. That baby has some speed on him. We are planning on grooming him for the AKC Good Neighbor award, we'll keep you posted.  Thanks for our spoiled little man.

Hi Melissa!

Everything is wonderful.  Obi is out of this world. He's 4 months old and thinks he's 40. He is actually going to the door and barking to be walked lol!  He is amazingly beautiful, I'll attach a picture.  He starts Beginner Training classes in obedience next week, he was well beyond puppy training., as he already knows, sit, stay, laydown, come and no jumping. In 8 weeks we will be taking him to agility training classes. He really shows so much potential and he really loves to run! Form then we will start good neighbor classes.  he is so loving and we just want him to have fun and do what he loves doing. I have started a website for him as soon as it's done I will send you the link, once we have another baby I will add their album there as well. As far as your tri-colors... I know! I look at your site weekly and am watching all your new babies! Syl and I are just waiting for the right time to  bring another one into the house. Obi really needs a play companion, and think he will really help us train the new baby. Please believe me when I say our next baby is coming from you.  You are with out a doubt an amazing  Kennel Mistress and Breeder. With all our heart, thank you for our little man.

P.S. He is all muscle and loves to dance! Oh and remember the chewy sticks you gave me the night I picked him up? he has a serious fixation on chews. He doesn't eat my furniture or rip anything up. he just Chews on his chews.. I buy them by the bucket load!

Melissa,  Here is Oliver during one of his walks.
We went to the farmer's market, had breakfast at a sidewalk café
and he just strutted his stuff through the farmer's market.  He was a hit.
Even a "huge" mastiff wanted to be his friend.  That was really funny.  He
is adjusting to walking, meeting new people and other dogs.  Doing real good for not even being 3 months old, yet.

Melissa,  here is Oliver.  He will be 5 months tomorrow and thought I'd
share our beautiful little boy with you.  He looks like Mom with the red
hair.  Hope all is well,  Sharon

He is up to almost 5 lbs now and really is fun for both John and I.  We are
really enjoying having this little guys in our family.  We have our own
little red head....  ;-)

Hi Melissa,
Grunt (now Gizmo) is doing very well :) He and my mother have bonded and she loves him so much. He goes to work with her every day so that he can be watched, and he seems like he is almost potty trained. He gets along fabulously with my mother's other dog, and with all the dogs in the extended family. The vet said he is looking well and will be getting his next set of shots on the 17th. All in all, he is happy, healthy, and sweet, and we all love him dearly.
I have pictures of him for you that I will be sending along shortly. Thank you for everything, and I hope the very best for you and your family this holiday :)

Melissa,

I just wanted to let you know what a joy this puppy is.

He is so smart, very fiesty (he chases after my cat and my cat is scared to death of him).  He went to the vets on Moday and got a clean bill of health.  I think he also learned to growl and bark at the vets unless he was being shy with me over the weekend.

His name has been changed to Monty and when I send in his papers, he will be Mighty Monty.

I love him and thank you so much.  He is beautiful.

Debbie

Hi Melissa,

I'm so sorry it's taken so long for me to respond, but waiting for David to transfer the pictures to the computer was a mission; I'm going to have to get my own camera.

OK here are a few pics of  Duke, some with the kids.  He is already weighing 5 pounds, and he is just gorgeous.

Hi Melissa,
Mojo (AKA Emmit) is doing wonderfully!  We just went to the vet yesterday...they loved him so much they didn't want to give him back to me. The vet said he is in EXCELLENT health and that I had found a good breeder ;)  Things have been kind of hectic lately but I will try to download some pictures to send to you as soon as I can.

Thanks again,
Ginny

Hey Melissa,
I took some more pictures of Mojo (never found my camera).

He is such a funny and fun loving dog.  He jumps in the shower with me simply because he hates being too far away or left out...it's nice to be so loved ;)
Not long after I brought him home, he made friends with a pair of my old Winnie the Pooh slippers.  (I won't give you details about just how good of friends...lol).  By now the slippers are pretty much ripped apart so we have been desperately searching for more ;)
We absolutley LOVE him and so do all of our friends.

I believe you said your next litter of puppies are due the middle of September.  Please remember to let me know if there are any lemon and white ones...I will try not to bother you too much between now and then ;)  We would love to have a lemon and white but if not, we may be interested in a black and white.

Thank you,
Ginny

I just wanted to let you kow how much I love this little girl. She is a perfect puppy. I cant believe how well Keeva listens, she really is so smart. She crate trained without even a whine, I was so impressed, I thought she would freak out when I put her in there but she didnt she just laid on her bed and took a nap. Her color has gotten a little darker than it was, its a beautiful light brown. She is so good with my neices and nephews, my cats even love her. Here are a couple pics of her.
Thank you so much.
Stephanie

Just letting you know how Keeva is doing. She is 6 months old and still a wonderful baby. She is house trained now and has been fixed. She is awesome. Here are a couple current pics for you.
Thanks

Hi Melissa -

I will take some better pictures this week, but I figured I would just
send a few that I had so you could see her...we love her...if I did not

her :)...She is absolute nut and so much fun...we just got two chocolate
labs and they are all in love...Bella thinks she is the big dog and the
big dogs let her think that!!  Hope all is well with you and your
family, as well and I will get some better pictures of just Bella to you

Hi Melissa!
Just thought I would send an update on Dudley. He is doing very good. His biting is 75% better as I have been getting him to stop. Our fingers, ears and toes are happy now. He is really growing. Getting very leggy (long legs). He is getting more gorgeous each and every day.

The black spots on his back have almost turned all brown. The only black left on him is around the tips of his ears. The black went brown very fast. I was really surprised. I like the brown much better as he doesn't look like two different dogs anymore ha ha.

He is still chasing the cats. :( That's our next mission. To get him to stop that. He is also getting some housetraining. He still uses the paper but he will also go outside when we take him out. I really don't think it will take him long to learn though.  I remember in his profile you had put he was on the shy side. He has sure grown out of that as he is one of the most social puppies I have ever seen. He loves everyone. He sure has come out of his shell there. He is 150%  opposite of shy now.  ;)

He now knows what a "cookie" is, (Alpo dog treat). He goes bonkers when we ask him if he wants one. He also has learned to shake hands (paws). He knows what "puppy chow" means and "you wanna go bye bye?". For being so young he sure is a very smart dog.

Anyway, I have included an updated picture of him that I just took tonight. Hope you like it. Talk to you again soon.
Kim
As you can see, his black spots are turning brown. Pretty huh?

Hi Melissa,
I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you with a picture of Gizmo (Grunt) but here are a few :) He was playing at the pool with Indi (the dog you met when we picked Gizmo up) so he's a bit wet, but he's healthy, happy, and he's having fun. He was neutered recently, and he's all healed now. He has the sweetest personality, and hes a beautiful boy, and we all love him so much. We pass his little "cousin" Edward on walks occasionally and he seems to be doing well too.
Daniella
P.S. Do any of Gizmo's family members walk around on their back legs a lot? Gizmo dances around on his back legs all the time  :)

Hi Melissa,

Just a quick note to let you know Chloe is doing real well. She’s catching on to potty training real fast. She’s very social and loves everyone she has had contact with. She found my stash of toys and every day takes a new one and puts in her day bed which she use primarily for playing and storing her toys. I’m sure many parents would love to have their children pick up after themselves. When she’s tried she has a few favorite places to take a nap. I’m amazed at the things she does after only being here a few days. I have attached a few pictures of her playing in her bed.

Hi Melissa,

I hope all is well with you and your family. I see that you have many new additions to your Pap family, they’re all so cute. Many of my friends suggest that I pick one out as a playmate for Chloe. Chloe is doing really well and growing rapidly; she’s becoming very tall. Her potty training has been going very well; as a matter of fact I believe we’re there. Chloe is well socialized with people; she especially loves children, which is very important living where I do with new faces almost every week. She has attended 2 puppy kindergarten classes and is doing pretty good. She’s not too sure of all the big puppies in the class, but I’m sure she’ll get used to them in time. You will notice it the pictures that she still has two little pink spots on her nose, which may become her trademark. Also, her blaze has been slowly disappearing with just a little white remaining on her forehead.

HI Melissa,

Sorry it has taken me 2 weeks to send you an email on how Alex (Simba) is doing. He is WONDERFUL!  We are so proud of him and how smart he is.  He is about 95% puppy pad trained now and is the quietest, sweetest puppy we have ever known!  He has such a unique personality in comparison with other puppies that I have observed throughout the years.   We chose not to crate train him, so he has our entire guest bathroom as his puppy palace.  We put up a baby gate and gave him lots of toys,  2 really soft blankets, his snuggle puppy with a heartbeat, and some Disney stuffed dogs.  Then we bought him a small cat carrier and took the door off so he had a "den" to sleep in.  We refer to it as his "man cave".  It's really cute because when he gets tired, he goes into his "man cave" and fights with his blankets, takes some of his toys with him, and then falls asleep.  I come home every day for lunch to feed him so he doesn't get too hungry or lonely while we're working.

He went to the vet on September 8th and got a perfect bill of health.  He goes again on the 24th for his next set of shots.  Abigail kitty basically ignores him, which is not a bad thing.  As we know, with cats, it could be much worse.

I am attaching some pictures of Alex that we took during his 1st week home.  He doesn't go outside yet because he doesn't have all of his shots.  The picture of him with his new harness and leash was taken after we only had him 4 days.  I thought it would be fun to "practice" on a leash, so I walked him around the house.  Picture 9831 is of him as he fell asleep with his snuggle puppy and the other one is while he was in his "man cave".

One of his ears is completely up now and the other one is almost up.

Take care,

Vickie & Steve Porter
